A process by which the number of two dimensional units (e.g. square feet) is determined for a given structural part. Two dimensional units of measure include all those that are measured in two directions. Determining the area of a surface which is measured in two dimensional units such as square yards or square feet, is a typical TWO-DIMENSIONAL CALCULATION.
