Stake which is placed in the ground and marked at the point where the grade should be found once the building part is in place. GRADE STAKES are often placed and marked to indicate where the top of the CONCRETE will be located once the pour is complete. GRADE STAKES used as a guide for establishing the final level of the concrete are usually pulled out and their holes filled with wet CONCRETE once the wet concrete has been leveled at the proper grade.
